Wilma’s Little People’s School kids get a special reader: JU President Cost

Before the grownups started listening outside Swisher Library April 2 at the JU Off the Shelf Open Mic Poetry Event, the kids were listening inside.

JU President Tim Cost read to them from Eric Carle’s The Very Clumsy Click Beetle, employing a variety of creative voices as the children from Wilma’s Little People’s School sat in rapt attention. He asked them questions and kept them actively involved in the storyline. 

“He did a fantastic job and the kids really loved him,” said Jody Kamens, JU Learning Center Coordinator.
