The annual Winter Music Symposium of the Florida College System Activities Association (@TheFCSAA) brings more than 350 student musicians and faculty from the state’s two-year colleges to the Jacksonville University campus Jan. 25-27 for masterclasses, ensemble rehearsals and free public concerts led by the JU music faculty.
“The opportunity to highlight all we do in the College of Fine Arts, to showcase our newly renovated Terry Concert Hall and bring exposure to our outstanding programs in music to a statewide audience is exciting,” said Dr. Timothy Snyder, Chair of the Division of Music. “We look forward to a wonderful event.”
Three concerts in Terry Concert Hall are free to the public:
- The JU Music Division Showcase Concert featuring Jazz Combo I, University Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, JU Jazz Orchestra, University Singers, Percussion Ensemble and student soloists and chamber ensembles at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 25;
