Seminar – A New Comedy at JU Oct. 15-18

From the creator of the television hit drama Smash, this provocative comedy features four aspiring young writers who have paid big bucks to seek wisdom at the feet of the fearsome Leonard — once a celebrated literary figure, now a cantankerous editor and teacher. Under Leonard’s recklessly brilliant and unorthodox instruction, some thrive and others flounder, alliances are made and broken, sex is used as a weapon, and hearts are unmoored. Theresa Rebeck’s mordant comedy is a is a sparkling cocktail of ambition, power, and lust upending the literary world, juggling ideas of subjectivity and compromise in writing, and the existence of true talent.
