Record-setting JU football team back in action at home Saturday

After racking up a school record 719 yards of total offense and a Milne Field record 69 points last week against Morehead State, the high-powered JU attack is back in action at home at 1 p.m. this Saturday, Sept. 21, against Warner University.

Saturday’s game is Military Appreciation Day and all active and retired military personnel get in free.

Led by Pioneer Football League Offensive Player of the Week Orlando Thomas and Special Teams Player of the Week Adrian Riley, the Dolphins won their Pioneer Football League opener 69-19 over Morehead State. Thomas rushed for a career-high 176 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries. Riley accounted for 112 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns, including a 75-yard punt return.

JU has been dominating at home, owning a 22-3 record at Milne Field over the past five seasons.

Gates open at 11 am. Students and faculty can pick up tickets on Friday at the JU Bookstore from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and enter to win field passes for Saturday’s game.
