Philanthropy Spotlight: W.B. Mason

In honor of National Philanthropy Day, Nov. 15, 2020, and this season of Thanksgiving, Jacksonville University would like to thank our donors and partners by shining a light on their generous support. W.B. Mason is the second largest, privately owned office products dealer in the United States and a friend to Jacksonville University. Following, please enjoy comments from their regional sales manager Anthony Zack.

Q:  What is your company’s philanthropic philosophy?
A:  We are an organization that focuses on solving customer problems with customized solutions and personalized services. When working with customers in the higher education space in particular, our goal is to blossom our relationship beyond a customer/vendor affiliation to a true partnership where we, not only focus on our own company goals, but also the university’s mission.

Q:  How does your contribution to Jacksonville University support that philosophy?
A:  We’re looking for the best people to serve our amazing customers. A strong relationship between our organization and the individuals of your institution, focused on the future of your graduates, is best for both worlds! W.B. Mason can offer amazing opportunities for both full-time positions and internships. The best promoters of this program will be students who join our team and blossom. They are the secret sauce to a great relationship and will serve as brand ambassadors and build the foundation to breed future JU hires.

Q:  In addition to donations, what are some other ways that W. B. Mason supports Jacksonville University and its students?
A:  We support athletics and participate in an alumni affiliation program. We also participate in various campus events and look to engage with business departments on potential academic projects. In 2020, we participated in the Career Expo. It was exciting to meet juniors and seniors preparing for their transition to the real world. We know that within the Jacksonville market and the state of Florida, these individuals will serve as a great catalyst for the growth of our organization both professionally and philanthropically.

All of our customers and potential customers know JU, and to partner with such a fantastic institution will only help strengthen our brand and presence within north Florida.
