Tell us about your service experience. During a firefight in Sangin, Afghanistan, I had an epiphany. It was about my self-meaning of life. It made me value what I have, and my family and friends. War doesn’t just have two sides; there is also a war inside everyone who experiences it…

Any favorite classes? English 201. Prof. Patrick McLeod mixed up the content and provided a new perspective; he allowed for great classroom discussions.

Tell us about JU’s role in your transition to civilian life. Our VA representative provided counseling, guidance and confidence. It helped with my military transition, enrolling, registering and class integration.

What sets JU apart? The professors and people at JU care about you and not the mighty dollar. I like the environment as well: the tree canopy, the different artistic landmarks and the upcoming Student Veterans of America study center.
