New band featuring JU’s Phillip Milano to perform at Jacksonville Beach festival July 4

Phillip Milano, right, is the lead vocalist for Jacksonville’s Top Secret Band; he’s also JU’s director of news and publications.

The secret about Jacksonville’s Top Secret Band is out: The upstart nine-member, horn-based rock ‘n’ roll ensemble will have its coming-out gig on Thursday, July 4, in Jacksonville Beach – and it features Jacksonville University’s own director of news and publications, Phillip Milano, as lead vocalist.

There will be a sneak peak of Top Secret when the soulful band visits the studio of First Coast News for its “Good Morning Jacksonville” show on Saturday, June 29. The scheduled air time on WTLV-TV (NBC 12) is 8:20 a.m.

The band will perform at 4:30 p.m. July 4 at Stars and Stripes at the Seawalk, a holiday oceanfront festival in the heart of Jacksonville Beach between Beach Boulevard and First Avenue North. Here is the Stars and Stripes at the Seawalk Facebook page.
