JU’s Major Madness set for Wednesday, Oct. 2

On Wednesday, Oct. 2, JU students and alumni are invited to mingle with faculty members, academic advisers, graduate program staff, campus organization representatives and Jacksonville-area employers. It’s Major Madness — an increasingly popular event on the JU campus.

According to Katrina Coakley, JU’s director of academic advising, Major Madness is a great opportunity for students to walk down the “runway of majors” and confirm their choice of major, consider adding a minor, collect information about internships, and meet employers who are hiring in their field. Faculty representatives will be available for all majors and more than 60 employers will be on hand.

Major Madness is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in front of Davis Student Commons. Participating students will have a chance to win prizes, and the Jacksonville Speech and Hearing will offer free hearing screenings. The Mobile Hearing Test Unit will be parked at Dolphin Drive and the southwest corner of the Council Building.

For information, contact Breahannah Hilaire in the Career Development Center at (904) 256-7054 or e-mail careers@ju.edu.
