JU alum, former Comptroller General David Walker discusses his proposed center-right fiscal solution in Times-Union video

Former U.S. Comptroller General and JU alum David M. Walker

The Florida Times-Union has posted a video on its website of Jacksonville University alumnus and former U.S. Comptroller General David M. Walker speaking recently to the T-U’s Editorial Board.

“Walker is a modern Paul Revere, traveling the nation to warn about the nation’s fiscal crisis,” blogged T-U Editorial Page Editor Mike Clark.  “We have time to fix it before it’s too late.

“He outlines a center-right solution that involves shared sacrifice, some revenue increases and larger spending cuts. The American people get it, but a partisan Washington is stuck in gridlock.”

Walker, who graduated with an accounting degree from JU in 1973, served as Comptroller General for the George W. Bush and Bill Clinton administrations from 1998-2008.  He tours the United States through his Comeback America Initiative to bring national attention to the nation’s fiscal challenges.

Here’s Clark’s March 29 blog post about Walker.
