JU adjunct Prof. Jason Nettle profiled in T-U; will perform Alhambra one-man show Sept. 9

Jacksonville University Adjunct Professor of Acting Jason Nettle is profiled in a Florida Times-Union article previewing Nettle’s Monday, Sept. 9, one-man show about 9/11 at Alhambra Theatre & Dining. Nettle, who lived in New York at the time of the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, is the Alhambra’s stage manager.

“Although the show consists of 19 monologues and presents the viewpoints of 17 characters, it draws from some very personal memories for Nettle,” Times-Union columnist Charlie Patton wrote in his “One of Us” column published Wednesday, Sept. 3.

Patton reported that Nettle, who began his JU duties this fall, spent six months researching and four months writing “9/11 We Will Never Forget,” and performed it for the first time on 9/11’s 10th anniversary.

“The ones I’m doing here are ones that people have connected to the most,” Nettle said in the “One of Us” column.

“9/11 We Will Never Forget” begins at 7:30 p.m. with the doors open at 7 p.m. There will be no dinner service; the bar will be open. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at www.alhambrajax.com or by calling (904) 641-1212.
