Those are just a few of the terms that describe some of the most memorable and important moments for Jacksonville University alumni and family during 2019.

1. Jacksonville University’s biggest Homecoming & Family Weekend yet. Despite the gray weather forecast and scattered showers on Saturday, more than 1,000 alumni, families and fans from 28 states helped make the 2019 Homecoming & Family Weekend our largest and best attended in the event’s history. 2. Record number of Global Toasts. We celebrated Jacksonville University’s 85th birthday with official Dolphin Club Global Toast meetups in 10 cities. Attendance increased 224 percent from 2018. We will be celebrating our next Global Toast on April 17, 2020. 3. We launched our annual Summer Send Off series in collaboration with the Office of Admissions. Alumni, families and students gathered to kick off the 2019-20 school year in Baltimore, Orlando and Tampa and welcomed new students and parents to the Dolphin family. 4. Most successful Big Green Give yet. Big Green Give, JU’s annual day of giving, united 2,172 Dolphin donors who collectively invested $674,250 in Jacksonville University’s future. 5. Graduates Of the Last Decade (GOLD Phins) comprised 30% of all alumni donors. Our most recent graduates have become some of our most engaged alumni, both through philanthropy and event participation. 6. Highest rate of alumni participation ever. Our alumni participation rate, which contributes to our U.S. News & World Report annual Best Colleges Ranking, is on the rise. 7. The Class of 2019 demonstrated their heart for philanthropy. Our spring 2019 graduates raised $5,692.34 and had the highest participation of any class (student or alumni) for Big Green Give. 8. Three alumni were added to the Board of Trustees. Matt Kane ’01 , Audrey Moran ’10 and Nina Zuccaro Waters ’80 (left to right) are now a part of their alma mater’s Board of Trustees. These leaders will help oversee the strategic direction of the University and continue to propel us toward a bright future. 9. Graduated the largest class ever. The Class of 2019 is comprised of more than 1,200 graduates, including more than 700 undergraduate alumni. 10. JU Achieves Highest Ever US News & World Report Best Colleges Ranking. Jacksonville University placed 28th out of 136 schools in the Regional Universities South category.
