The JU Davis College of Business is rekindling the Davis Entrepreneurship Organization (DEO), which in the past has been a hugely successful student-based club at the University.
There are big plans for the club, including presentations by successful entrepreneurs, resource providers and mentors.
An Open House is set for this Wednesday, Feb. 12, with an initial meeting Feb. 19 that includes JU Trustee Jack Keigwin, chief executive officer of Sound Point Asset Management, as the initial speaker.
The club has also secured a sponsor for a “Shark Tank”-like business plan competition this spring.
The DEO is set to dovetail with DCOB’s new presence in downtown Jacksonville at CoWork Jax, where the University will offer resources and up to 30 faculty and students to help entrepreneurs at the community-focused incubator.
Details of the Open House are below. Don’t miss this chance to network and spark your creative entrepreneurial drive!
