Research on topics ranging from hip-hop culture to faces of the homeless to quantum theory to anxiety disorder to the effects of carbon dioxide on sea life (and much more) will be presented April 3-5 during the Jacksonville University 2013 Faculty & Student Symposium.
Attendees are sure to find a few topics that intrigue them, organizers say, as the subjects range across all academic disciplines. The event is a chance to highlight the cutting-edge work being done by JU’s professors and students (see .pdf of full schedule below).
The symposium runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, through Friday, April 5, in the Davis College of Business Conference Rooms.
The Symposium Planning Committee (Carolina Conte, W. Brian Lane and Chris Robertson) offers its thanks to JU’s Janet Haavisto, Anthony Oullette, and Natasha Vanderhoff for facilitating presentation sessions. Special thanks to Academic Affairs, the College of Arts & Sciences, the Division of Humanities, the Division of Music, the Divison of Science & Mathematics, the Division of Social Sciences, the Division of Visual Arts, and the School of Education for financially supporting this year’s Symposium.
