The Jacksonville University men’s and women’s soccer programs will host their annual skills camp this summer from June 10 through June 14. Boys and girls ages 5-14 are invited to come and participate in the camp designed to develop young players’ technical skills through a series of challenging activities while also developing a passion for the game.
This year’s camp staff will include college coaches as well as current and former Dolphin players, some of which helped lead the team to the A-Sun Championship in 2011. The staff looks forward to working with players who want to train and become better soccer players.
The goal at Dolphin Academy is for players to leave camp with a better understanding of the game and with an improved skill level to strengthen their future performances. Parents, friends and coaches are encouraged to observe the camp experience, and the staff will be happy to answer any questions after the sessions.
The camp will generally run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily on the Jacksonville University soccer facilities. The cost for the camp is $225. For more information, log on to dolphinsocceracademy.com.
