Congratulations to February JU Employee of the Month Kimberly Fisher

Congratulations to JU February Employee of the Month Kimberly Fisher, the bursar in the JU controller’s office bursar who received four recent nominations for the award.

Fisher has worked at Jacksonville University for nearly 11  years.

Those who nominated Fisher for the employee-of-the-month honor lauded her for being responsive, big-hearted and a problem-solver.

“Kim Fisher represented a Student Solutions Center before there was one,” JU Director of Scholarships & Endowments Jeannie Gabrynowicz wrote in her nomination. “Kim remains calm, patient and optimistic in all her interactions with students. She lets them know that they are her first priority. We turn to her when we have students with complex and confusing problems. She can look through the problems to find the start towards a solution.”

Student Solutions Center Director Laura Andrews said Fisher consistently goes above and beyond the call of duty for students and colleagues.

“Kim has a true passion for students,” Andrews said. “She is dedicated to her work and displays excellent customer service, even in the most difficult situations. Her collaborative ideas have made a difference at JU.”

JU employees of the month receive a $50 cash award, an extra day off, an award certificate signed by the JU president, and reserved parking for a month.
