Congratulations to Jacksonville University’s April employee of the month, Marisol Preston.
Preston is the senior assistant director of admissions; she has worked at JU for nearly two years.
Admissions receptionist Rosa Gyuris said in her nomination of Preston that Preston excels at providing great customer service and that she’s a committed and devoted employee.
“One of our directors calls Admissions the ‘Office of First Impressions.’ Marisol shines in this area,” Gyuris wrote in her nomination. “She is kind, attentive and welcoming. Her knowledge and preparation represent JU at its highest standards. She is reliable and dependable, and goes above and beyond to make her students feel like her No. 1 priority.”
Preston’s supervisor, Director of Undergraduate Admissions Yvonne Martel, surprised Preston with the award on Wednesday, April 17. Martel says that Preston’s recent accomplishments include being the primary brainchild and workhorse behind JU’s successful “Decision Day” program for prospective students.
JU employees of the month receive a $50 cash award, an extra day off, an award certificate signed by the JU president, and reserved parking for a month.
