Check out late JU President Robert H. Spiro’s Dolphin Collection at the Marine Science Research Institute

Jacksonville University is fortunate to have on display the Dolphin Collection of late JU President Robert H. Spiro, who died Tuesday, Oct. 1, in Charlotte, N.C.

The collection was handed down from the Alumni House and is viewable in Dolphin Conference Room 250 at the JU Marine Science Research Institute, according to Patti Kalaitzis, building manager and administrative associate for the MSRI.

Spiro, who served from 1964 to 1979 as Jacksonville University’s president, was also a U.S. Navy Reserve rear admiral and Undersecretary of the Army. Read his full obituary at http://waveweekly.ju.edu/?p=11656.
