Two more accomplished, experienced higher education veterans are on board to help Jacksonville University as it further enhances its student recruitment and enrollment quality.
Tom Taggart has joined the staff as Chief Admissions Officer, and Allana Forte will support him as Director of Admissions & Recruiting. The appointments represent part of Jacksonville University’s ongoing process to advance and modernize its admissions structure and outcomes.
Taggart previously worked at Florida Coastal School of Law, where he was most recently the Associate Dean of Student Affairs. His eight years’ experience there working with student affairs, retention and enrollment management brings expertise in an integrated, contemporary view of enrollment management. This model aligns recruitment more closely with retention, student quality and satisfaction, and student outcomes. He holds a B.A. in Chemistry and an M.S. in engineering from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio.
Forte also most recently was at the law school, and will work closely with Taggart on the operational management of the office. She has worked in admissions at the law school as well as at Stetson University, cultivating and expertise in admissions and enrollment analytics, strategy and management, which will be employed by the University to help improve outcomes, enrollment quality, and internal and external customer service. In addition, her knowledge of graduate enrollment and recruitment will help JU better recruit for and serve these important programs. Forte holds a J.D. from Stetson University College of Law and a B.S. in telecommunications from the University of Florida.
