Thursday, March 7 is ‘Boots and Blue Jeans Day’ at JU: Come see Florida Georgia Line! It’s Free!

President Tim Cost is inviting the entire JU community to “go country” and wear blue jeans and boots on Thursday, March 7 and attend the Florida Georgia Line country rock concert at 7 p.m. at Strom Amphitheater.

JU students, faculty and staff may invite family and friends to attend the concert. Admission is free. Here’s more info about Florida Georgia Line.

The concert organizers are strongly suggesting that JU employees not leave campus in their vehicles after work Thursday if they plan to attend the concert. Traffic onto campus is expected to be strong, and parking challenges are anticipated.

Because of the concert, the Davis Student Commons will close at 6 p.m. Thursday. The closing includes Nellie’s, the fitness center, the Buc room and all meeting rooms. Sodexo Dining Services will have concessions set up at the concert and will be accepting meal swipes.

Bring your lawn chairs and blankets, if you’d like — and come out and enjoy the show!
