Memorial service for Prof. Curtis Small to be held Friday, Sept. 27 on JU campus; live internet video stream available

A memorial service celebrating the life of beloved JU professor Dr. Curtis Small, who passed away July 16 in Virginia, will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27 in the Sam Marks Chapel. Everyone is welcome.

For those who cannot attend, the service will be available for viewing via live internet video stream at www.ju.edu/memorial.

Dr. Small taught at JU from 2002 until becoming ill in early 2013. He was an associate professor of biology and chemistry, and served as JU’s Pre-Med coordinator.

To honor Dr. Small’s memory, the Dr. Curtis Small Scholarship and the Dr. Curtis Small Science Undergrad Research Fund have been established to benefit JU students studying chemistry and/or biology. A faculty committee will select the recipients. To donate, make checks payable to Jacksonville University and select the fund of your choice.
