JU student, bass player Peter Michael Mosely to perform Friday, Sept. 27 at Freebird with Canary in the Coalmine

Jacksonville University senior music major Peter Michael Mosely will perform with his band, Canary in the Coalmine, Friday, Sept. 27 at Freebird Live in Jacksonville Beach.

A bass player, Mosely is formerly of the bands Yellowcard and Inspection 12; he also plays in the Tommy Harrison Group, the instrumental rock band of JU Division of Music Chair Tommy Harrison. Mosely is majoring in music business and composition.

Canary in the Coalmine, which plays Americana/folk music with a modern alternative twist, is led by two female vocalists. The group performed earlier Friday, Sept. 27, on WJCT-FM 89.9 radio’s First Coast Connect program.

Tickets for the 8 p.m. show at Freebird, 200 N. First St., are $8 in advance and $10 at the door; here is the venue’s website.
