JU Orthodontics and Dean Mark Alarbi are in the media spotlight this week and next!

Look for Jacksonville University’s School of Orthodontics and its dean, Dr. Mark Alarbi, to be in the media spotlight this week and next.

Alarbi and the school are raising  awareness during October’s National Orthodontic Health Month to educate the public about best practices for maintaining their smiles.

Alarbi will be featured live on “First Coast Living” at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, on WTLV TV-12 (rebroadcast at 2 p.m.). Visit http://www.firstcoastnews.com/firstcoastliving.

In addition, Alarbi and a child/patient and a mother of former patients will be filmed Friday, Oct. 25,  by WJXT TV-4 for airing next week.

In tandem with its educational outreach efforts, the JU School of Orthodontics is also awarding two First Coast residents with a free set of braces, in celebration of National Orthodontic Health Month. Winners will be selected at random to receive a certificate for a free set of braces as well as full comprehensive course of orthodontic care from JU School of Orthodontics.

The Jacksonville University School of Orthodontics was established in 2003. With eight full-time instructors, one adjunct professor and a research director, it graduates 15 students per year and is considered one of the largest programs nationwide, seeing about 1,500 patients annually.
