Dr. Tammy Ryan of JU

Ryan, Assistant Professor of Reading Education, is in charge of the School of Education’s reading lab, which offers free tutoring to youths from the Woodland Acres Boys & Girls Club. Children from the club are expected to be on-air Thursday as well.

Ryan and the JU students will talk about the university’s partnership with the Boys and Girls Club and how JU works with urban children on their reading and writing development.

The reading lab was also recently featured in a full-length article in The Florida Times-Union.

That piece also included a video of the lab, see below. Congratulations to Ryan and the JU Education students on their efforts.
