JU alum, trustee Margaret Black-Scott profiled by Financial News & Daily Record, 89.9 WJCT-FM

Margaret “Mag” Black-Scott

Jacksonville University alumnus and trustee Margaret Black-Scott, who recently expanded her Beverly Hills, Calif., financial management firm to Jacksonville, is profiled in the Nov. 12 Financial News & Daily Record. Also, the interview of Black-Scott by Daily Record Managing Editor Karen Brune-Mathis was broadcast Nov. 12 on the 89.9 WJCT-FM show “First Coast Connect.”

In the profile and interview, Black-Scott discusses her career; escaping New York in a motor home after the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks; and her courtship with her husband, Apollo astronaut David Scott. She also offers advice to prospective entrepreneurs. “It will take twice as long and cost twice as much and other than that, do it. For heaven’s sake, do it. We need more entrepreneurs in the country. It’s what built the country,” she said.
