“MFA in the Works” is an informal sharing of works in progress of graduate candidates. This program presents the exciting academic work of the diverse talent and abilities of students in the MFA Choreography program at Jacksonville University and is directed by Cari Coble, associate professor of dance and coordinator of the MFA.

Pieces on the program range from solos that were developed from graduate thesis development to large group works that are set on the talented JU undergraduate dance majors. Additionally, you will see three pieces that have been picked to be performed at the American College Dance Festival this spring to represent the JU Dance Department.

The performances will be held at the Alexander Brest Dance Pavilion at JU. There will be a lunchtime showing at 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 27 and a lunchtime showing at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28. Guests are welcome to bring a brown bag lunch. Admission is free and open to the public.
