Rob Bogardus, new JU Associate Athletic Director for External Operations

Bogardus comes to JU after spending the past eight years as Assistant Athletic Director for External Operations at Bradley University, a member of the Missouri Valley Conference.  He will serve as executive director of the JU Athletics Booster Club and will also oversee corporate partnerships along with the development efforts of the department.

“We are thrilled to have Rob joining the Dolphin family,” said Edwards.  “We expect him to play a vital role in expanding our external marketing efforts throughout the city of Jacksonville and beyond.  Rob’s senior level experience at Bradley as well as with the World Golf Hall of Fame and the Jacksonville Jaguars will be extremely beneficial for JU and the growth of our athletics department.”

As a member of the Bradley Athletics staff, Bogardus oversaw the department’s ticket operations, supervised the Braves Club booster organization and served as a member of the executive leadership team. Additionally, he was responsible for oversight of ticket operations for a number of Missouri Valley Conference championships and NCAA regionals, including on-sight duties for the 2006 NCAA Mens Basketball Tournament in Detroit (1st and 2nd rounds), and Oakland (Sweet 16).

In addition to his administrative duties, Bogardus served as the interim head coach for the men’s golf team during the 2005 Spring semester and has continued to serve as an assistant for both the Bradley men’s and women’s golf teams.

No stranger to the North Florida region, the Catskill, N.Y., product began his professional career as a ticket operations specialist for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 1997.

Bogardus also served as the ticket and guest services manager at the World Golf Hall of Fame in St. Augustine, Fla., prior to joining the Bradley staff in January 2004.

A graduate of Concordia College in Bronxville, N.Y., he was a four-year baseball letterman.
