PPI co-hosts Global Water Policy discussion

Jacksonville University and the Public Policy Institute were pleased to partner with the World Affairs Council in Jacksonville in March 2015 to present the Global Business Luncheon.

In a conversation-style presentation moderated by (JU) Public Policy Institute Director Rick Mullaney and Marine Science Research Institute Executive Director Quinton White, James G. Workman, Deputy Director of the Environmental Defense Fund’s Catch Share Design, spoke on the politics of water. More than 100 civic and community leaders and JU graduate students attended this event. More about Mr. Workman and his book, Heart of Dryness, a nonfiction narrative set in the Kalahari that dramatizes the timeless struggle over water, the fulcrum of political power, at http://www.heartofdryness.com/.

The Jacksonville University Public Policy Institute is a neutral gathering place to discuss policy matters affecting our state and local community. Offering the only Master in Public Policy degree in Florida, it prepares students for leadership and diverse career opportunities in the public, private and non-profit sectors. More information can be found at ju.edu/ppi.
