JU retired Prof. Stephen Baker one of ’40 most influential in Healthcare’

Recently retired JU political science professor Stephen Baker has made 904 magazine’s list of “The First Coast’s 40 Most Influential People in Healthcare.”

The June 2013 issue of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce publication praises Baker, who retired from full-time teaching in May after 28 years at JU, for his role as chair of The Northeast Florida Healthy Start Coalition.

“Its overall goal is the reduction of the state’s high infant mortality and improvement of the lives of pregnant women and their families,” the magazine states.
