JU PPI’s Rick Mullaney hosting quarterly WJCT radio show, ‘Policy Matters’

Rick Mullaney, Jacksonville University Public Policy Institute founding director

Rick Mullaney, founding director of Jacksonville University’s Public Policy Institute (JU PPI), has begun hosting a quarterly radio show, “Policy Matters,” on WJCT-FM 89.9’s “First Coast Connect.”

“The goal of the show is to inform and educate listeners on public policy matters that matter — to them and to the city, state and nation,” Mullaney said. “This includes hearing from policymakers — local, state and federal — on a variety of public policy matters, including healthcare, education, downtown, jobs, taxes, the port, and budget and financial policy, including our first show on pension reform.”

The first segment on “Policy Matters” aired July 17; on it, Mullaney interviewed Chris Hand, Jacksonville Mayor Alvin Brown’s chief of staff.
