About the presenter: 

An advocate for Latinos, Baumann has worked with government agencies and non-profit organizations in nine states in strategic outreach planning and implementation, staff and organizational development, marketing and promotional multicultural campaigns, language and cross-cultural training with a specific purpose, event facilitation, and fundraising and grant writing.

A writer, editor, and publisher, Baumann has managed publishing and production crews and traveled frequently to Latin America, interviewed Latin American and American top corporate executives and government officers to develop success stories, trends, industry updates, and company profiles.

Baumann has been an active member of the New Jersey Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the American Association of University Women, Spanish Chapter, the American Translators Association, the Red Bank Education and Development Initiative, among others. She also served as a board member and chair of the Planning and Programming Committee of the Hispanic Affairs and Resource Center of Monmouth County, and was the first Latino member of the Red Bank Borough Human Relations Committee and the Monmouth County Arts Council Diversity Committee. In 2010, she published a book, ¡Hola, amigos! A Plan for Latino Outreach.

Baumann emigrated from Argentina to the United States in 1990. She was a tenured professor of Architecture and Fine Arts at the National University of Rosario, Argentina. In the United States, she obtained a master’s of arts in liberal studies, and, taking advantage of her polished language skills, she then pursued a career in communications, publishing and marketing.
