JU Chamber Ensembles in free concert Feb. 10

The Jacksonville University music department presents its faculty and student chamber ensembles in concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, at Terry Concert Hall at JU. The event is free to the public.
The concert will showcase the talent of the music department’s faculty and student groups in a varied and engaging program of chamber music. Performing groups include the Flute Ensemble, the Honors String Quartet, the Honors Brass Quintet, the Honors Woodwind Quintet and the Chamber Winds. The program includes music by Beethoven, Borodin, Balay, Luigini and more. The concert will feature the premiere performance of Dr. Thomas Harrison’s Woodwind Quintet No. 2. Harrison is chair of the JU Division of Music. 
The concert will also include a performance of the Brahms Trio for Clarinet, Cello and Piano by JU faculty members Artie Clifton, Shannon Lockwood and Scott Watkins.
