Come join the Jacksonville University Community in celebrating the lives of people no longer with us. This is a great time for groups as well as individuals to get together to remember & celebrate our lost companions.
Previous All Saints Day celebrations at JU have included readings, artwork, dance performances, speakers and more.
WHO: The whole JU community: students, faculty, administration and staff.
WHEN: Friday, November 1, 2013, 10am to 6pm
WHERE: JU’s Sam Marks Chapel
WHAT: A time to remember and celebrate friends, family classmates and colleagues who have passed using readings, artwork, dance, music, and silence.
HOW: Post names of lost classmates, colleagues, friends and/or family members to be read at the midday and closing ceremonies on Facebook: All Saints Day of the Dead – JU, or send to gsherid@ju.edu
Bring the favorite food or drink of your lost loved one to share with all. Tables will be provided.
Bring visual tributes that would make the people you want to remember HAPPY. Tables will be provided. Set up time is 8-10am. Break down is 6-7pm.
