Davis College of Business launches 100% online MBA program

The Nathan M. Bisk Center for Professional Studies has launched a 100 percent online Master of Business Administration program through the Davis College of Business, with options to pursue a general MBA or a concentration in management.

The online convenience of the new program allows working professionals to pursue an advanced business degree without interrupting their careers. Students who choose the general MBA track can pick an accelerated, one-year completion plan or a flexible, traditional plan. DCOB’s online courses are taught by respected and experienced instructors who are acknowledged leaders in their field.

DCOB has a proud tradition of training top business executives in a number of industries and is rooted within a vibrant network of alumni and corporate partnerships. It is the only private university in Northeast Florida accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

“The Davis College of Business is a highly collaborative kind of environment,” said DCOB Dean Dr. Don Capener. “It’s a program where you can come away with lots of recommendations and ideas for opportunities for your career.”

Emphasis is placed on the concepts of corporate responsibility, economic optimization, organizational behavior, demand analysis, profit analysis, business ethics and the characteristics of self-leadership. Students learn current theories and practices in global business environments, macro- and micro-economic factors in decision making, efficient resource management and the strategic application of economic ideas to sustain high corporate performance.

In August 2017, U.S. News and World Report for the first time ranked the JU Davis College of Business as a best business graduate school for its part-time FLEX Master of Business Administration program. Rankings are based on three main criteria, including quality assessment, placement success and student selectivity.

In addition, the Davis College of Business and JU’s Keigwin School of Nursing soon will offer a joint Master of Science in Nursing/Master of Business Administration degree online. This innovative, dual-degree program is intended for nurses interested in executive-level management careers. The MSN/MBA online program is scheduled to launch in Spring 2018.

DCOB’s introduction of an online MBA program follows the February 2017 launch of a 100 percent online Master of Science in Organizational Leadership (MSOL) and a Master of Science in Applied Business Analytics (MSABA).

JU’s 100 percent online programs offer scheduling convenience and the flexibility to learn while staying on the job. JU is committed to the support of service members and their families. Please refer to the University’s Military page for details on special tuition rates for eligible service members, veterans and their dependents.
