Celebrate “Solstice” musically June 21 with JU’s Tony Steve, Joe Yorio and Bob Moore

SOLSTICE

A Concert Celebrating the Longest Day of the Year

De Profundis (featuring Joe Yorio, JU Adjunct Professor, on saxophones; Bob Moore, JU alum, on piano; and
Tony Steve, JU Assistant Professor of Contemporary Music and Percussion, on percussion) presents Solstice, a concert celebrating the day each year that sun stands still.

Solstice starts with the music of tradition – chant, hymn, spiritual – and takes it
to a new place. The tried and true encounter the new and unexpected. Familiar
tunes are graced with surprising rhythms and harmonies. The ear and the
heart are satisfied.

Solstice is a uniquely musical spiritual experience.

When: Friday, June 21, at 7:00 P.M.

Where: The Episcopal Church of Our Saviour, 12236 Mandarin Road.

Those attending are encouraged to bring a donation of food items appropriate
for the support of St. Mary’s food pantry.
