Books on exercise, cancer out by Brooks Rehabilitation College of Healthcare Sciences faculty

Congratulations to Brooks Rehabilitation College of Healthcare Sciences faculty member Dr. Heather Hausenblas and co-author Ryan E. Rhodes on their new textbook, “Exercise Psychology: Physical Activity and Sedentary Behavior,” which was published by Jones & Bartlett Publishers on Feb. 15. 

Exercise Psychology focuses on the psychological effects of physical activity in a variety of special populations and was written for upper-level undergraduate and graduate-level courses in exercise physiology and behavioral physical activity. Meanwhile, congratulations are also in order for Healthcare Sciences Dean Dr. Christine Sapienza and lead co-editors Dr. Bari Hoffman Ruddy, Dr. Henry Ho and Dr. Jeffrey Lehman on the publication of the first edition of their book, “Cases in Head and Neck Cancer: A Multidisciplinary Approa ch.” Plural Publishing will release on April 31.

This book provides a compendium of resources to help health care providers navigate the complex interface between diagnostic and clinical information in order to successfully manage patients with head and neck cancer.
